Nevada’s clean energy economy on the move: wind power

One of the most rewarding aspects of legislating is watching the progression of passed legislation and their results. In the next few days, “Renewable Generations”, a rebate program that combines new wind rebates with the wildly successful Solar Generations program, will open for business. A result of AB 178 that I sponsored and passed last session, Nevada now has an incentive program to promote the development of wind energy.

Thank you again to all who came together to make passage of this legislation and the program a reality. Without the help of representatives of the renewable energy industry, Sierra Pacific, conservationists and consumers, this step forward for Nevada’s clean energy economy would not be possible.

For coverage of the roll out, check out today’s article in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Inquiries about the the new Renewable Generations program can be directed to the existing Solar Generations site.

One Response to “Nevada’s clean energy economy on the move: wind power”

  1. Tom Clark Says:

You all don’t get near enough credit for creating this program. Most people think the power company created the program. Let’s hope wind and water are as popular as the solar program has been.
