A pinecone of my own
I had a pleasant surprise this morning at my office as Lauren Siegel from Nevada EcoNet and two of their staffers showed up to give me an invitation to their annual Pinecone Ball- an event celebrating leadership in environmental issues.
The catch? I’m to receive one of the awards! I’m still pretty stunned by the news. Recognition from a group made up of individuals with such stature in conservation issues doesn’t happen every day.
The Pinecone Ball will happen this year on Saturday, October 20th at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno. Keep an eye on the EcoNet website for more information and to get tickets.
