Committee assignments

I received word today regarding the status of my committee requests. As a freshman, I was counseled that I might not get all (or any) of my requests. I’m pleased to report that I’ve been assigned to the following committees:
Government Affairs, M, T, W, Th, F, 8:00 a.m.
Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Mining, M, W, 1:30 […]

Hitting the ground running

I’m sitting in the terminal at the Las Vegas airport waiting to board a flight back to Reno so I can catch a few hours sleep and then make it back into work tomorrow. I flew down today for the post-election meeting of the Assembly Democratic Caucus. After a round of congratulatory toasts to returning […]

The flood of congratulatory emails, […]

Election Day: Dispatches from the field

Be sure to watch this blog for images and updates from election day in Assembly District 24. Here’s I am with my mom, staffing a campaign table at the Reno Livestock Events Center polling location- serving coffee and greeting voters. Photos after jump.

First results in!

No, not from today’s election, from a straw poll held yesterday in two fourth grade classes at Mamie Towles Elementary. After speaking to the class (Mr. Holcomb declined the opportunity) and fielding questions from the students (”Do you have a dog?” “Yes, her name is Maggie.” “Why didn’t you bring her today?”) the class held […]

Today’s the day

Lisa and I were up at 3am this morning to greet volunteers and start the big day off right. Thank you volunteers for helping us get out the vote! If you haven’t already voted, please go to the polls now! Not sure where you need to go to vote? Read on…

Team Bobzien on the street

The campaign’s momentum rolled into election eve tonight with some last minute sign waving at the corner of 7th and Keystone. Lots of horns blowing in support, one women even yelled out the window of her car, “I voted for him!” as she drove up to the intersection. Thanks everybody for one last push before tomorrow’s big day! Photo after the jump.

The end of walking

Just like it started, the campaign now wraps up with the last moments of walking door to door. Photo after the jump.
