Local website, “Fish the West” has a post today about fishing at Walker Lake, and the challenges the lake’s ecosystem faces.
As my time on the water has decreased in the midst of all the campaigning, it’s nice to know Nevada’s still out there waiting for me, and I appreciate sites like this, as well as the regular fishing reports I’ve been getting from friends for spots like Pyramid Lake (fishing dropped off after the New Year’s flooding, picked backed up, and now may be on hold again with this recent round of weather.)

A workshop in Reno has been scheduled to discuss regulations for the recently passed law that will permit Nevadans to buy low cost pharmaceuticals from Canada.

Reno and Sparks have begun to discuss smaller projects that can provide flood control until the larger proposed project with the Army Corps of Engineers moves forward.

Meet Murray Barr. Murray lives in Reno, on the streets. He drinks, a lot. Sometimes he gets picked up by the police, sometimes several times a day, who take him to Saint Mary’s, who sober him up before he goes to jail. Sometimes he gets sick, and his hospital stays are numerous.
