Best wishes to the Hug Hawks, getting ready for the state 4A football championship, their first shot at the title in the school’s 37-year history. The Reno Gazette-Journal has a profile on the excitement:

Yes, the stereotype. Hug, the tough school. Hug, where students cut class and fight. Hug, where all the windows are broken. Hug, where test scores are low. Hug, where nobody wants to be.

Truth is, the school’s making tremendous progress on a number of fronts, and this is just the latest. Go Hawks!
